The Arhoolie Foundation:  The Arhoolie Foundation documents, preserves, presents, and celebrates regional roots music and its makers. By our activities, we seek to broaden public awareness of our diverse music history, and support the vitality of living vernacular traditions.


Down Home Music: Down Home Music was established in 1976 by Arhoolie Records founder Chris Strachwitz as a (brick & mortar) retail outlet for Roots music releases from various labels throughout the world.

Philville Records: Owned and operated by show contributor Matt Sayles, Philville Records is an independent Americana record label founded in Marquette, Michigan in 2000


Old Time Tiki Parlour: Owned and operated by show contributor David Bragger, the Old Time Tiki Parlour is the online musical headquarters of Tiki Parlour Recordings. Since 2014, it has served as the concert, workshop, jam, film and instructional epicenter for traditional old-time music around Los Angeles and beyond. It is an atomic-era destination complete with wooden tikis, strange folk art, weird curios, palm trees and a variety of old-time string instruments. 


Discography of American Historical Recordings:  A database of master recordings made by American record companies during the 78rpm era. It is part of the American Discography Project (ADP)—an initiative of the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Packard Humanities Institute that is edited by a team of researchers based at the UCSB Library.


Dust To Digital: Dust-to-Digital is a record company that specializes in documenting the history of American popular music, including historical recordings of blues, gospel, and country music. Their method combines rare recordings with historic images, photographs, and detailed texts describing artists and their works. 

Smithsonian Folkways: Smithsonian Folkways is the nonprofit record label of the Smithsonian Institution.


Cocaine and Rhinestones Podcast: Cocaine & Rhinestones is a podcast about the history of country music made in the 20th century.


John’s Old Time Radio Show: Welcome to John’s Old Time Radio Show!!! Listen To John Heneghan play and talk about 78 rpm records from his collection. Each episode features a different theme and style and some will feature special guests playing records from their collections.
